The Mad Hatter
One of a kind Created
for 2010 TBAI auction in Binghamton, NY
The Hatter is a
19" mohair bear (the hat adds 6") He has wired arms,
weighted feet and an armatured neck. The eyes are amber glass
and the paw pads are faux suede. He has dyed mohair locks needle
felted to his head for that great orangy hair.
This bear is dressed
in co-ordinating cottons. The coat is velvet trimmed and the
hat is a fine black wool. He has tea bags tucked into the hat
band and pockets. He carries a tea cup, tea infuser and pocket
watch. The hat also has a teapot, sugar bowl and spoon stitched
to it. Note the cute pewter teapot and cup buttons on the vest.
This bear will
be auctioned off at the TBAI show in August of 2010. It is a
wonderful convention and teddy bear show with one of a kind gallery
pieces, fun activities and fabulous food. -- If you can't make
